The Aberdeen Fire Department has been serving the citizens of Aberdeen, Harford County and Maryland for well over 100 years. The AFD is a Volunteer organization that was incorporated as a non-profit in 1935. Aberdeen is located approximately 30 miles north east of Baltimore, Maryland just off of Interstate 95 and just west of the Chesapeake Bay and Aberdeen Proving Ground. The AFD provides the primary emergency services for approximately a 22 square mile area and 24, 500 people.
