Provided by YP.comMy wife and I went to "Family Promise" a few days ago to try to receive temporary aid. We met with the case worker Tabitha. After we were told that they would not be able to assist us because my wife is pregnant, my wife asked for recommendations of other places that would assist. I politely excused myself to wait in the car while my wife collected this information. As soon as I was out of the office, Tabitha asked my wife if she was "okay" to be with me. My wife laughed and said yes. That I was just disappointed because we had heard they had such a great program there. Tabitha then proceeded to ask my wife if we would be willing to stay in separate places to which my wife replied no. This is a place that is supposed to offer support to keep families together and help them get on their feet, but the case worker, Tabitha, seemed to only want to separate us by first making assumptions and then trying to use the limits of their system. If you have any kind of felony record or are pregnant, do not go to this place for assistance. They will judge you and make assumptions before denying you their services.
