San Felipe is a beautiful restaurant inside, beautiful colorful art, clean and a nice atmosphere but the food is not very good. Me and my daughter had the California burrito, some wings and my mom had a meat and rice dish. The burrito was too small, the meat in all of our dishes was tasteless and the cheese was horrible like it was not even Mexican cheese, there was no guacamole, onions or anything. The only thing that was good was the chicken wings, chips and salsa and the beer. It seems they are catering to old southern white palates. I went to San Felipe in Sanford and their food was so much better! Their California burrito was big and delicious. I will say that the service at both place was great. As much as I want to I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for authentic good Mexican food you will not find it here.

The Chips and Salsa are great and are just the start of a great meal. However, it is not TexMex, just in case you are wondering...

I love this place! You can taste the cilantro in the salsa--it's incredible. Service is fast--faster than the local Taco Bell. There is a lunch card that you can use to earn a free lunch.
