Excellent! My daughter loves it here!

My husband and I had just to moved to Pinehurst in the fall of 2012 because of the military. I decided to go to school full time and needed childcare services. I looked everywhere around Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen. I could not find a place that was under $150 a week that did preschool and didn't just babysit. I came across this school and was hesitant because I could not find any reviews on them. My husband and I decided to go check them out. Our daughter started in the fall of 2012 and is still in school here about to finish Pre-K. They are this humble little school in Aberdeen. They have about 50 students total enrolled from pre-k to 12 grade. These people are all very nice and love the children of their school. For $80 a week my 4 year daughter wasn't just getting baby sat from 7:30 to 5:30 but is being taught close to a kindergarten level. My friend took her daughter to a Montessori school in town that may have looked nicer on the outside but the inside was awful. She paid $150 a week and her child barely learned some letters and how to sing her ABC's, they just let the kids run around crazy and never listened to parents requests, and in fact is now getting shut down . My 4 year old daughter can identify her upper and lower case letters as well as their sounds and write them in print and cursive. She can read to a certain degree also. She knows all her numbers and can count by 2's, 5's, and 10's. She is more than ready for kindergarten! They also have a lot of fun activities as well. This school provides structure and fun and love. They are a Christian school but they do not pressure you into anything either. The school also provides daycare for 2-3 year olds at the same price and I know they do learning activities with them as well. I know they offer kindergarten to 12th grade and the kids are taught through a pace program. I do not have much experience with the 1st-12th grade but I do know all the children are very smart, most are being taught above their grade level and most 16 and 17 year olds are receiving college credits at the same time. The kids do not seem to be overwhelmed or pressured either, they are all very polite, happy looking children. The school is run by a husband and wife who have put their lives into it and would do anything for these children. The other teachers are excellent as well. Mr. and Mrs. Conway, along with their staff are very hard working for very little financial reward. The reward for them is the smiling faces on the children. I urge people to not pass this school up! I wanted to get the word out about Solid Rock because I know nobody knows about them and they deserve nothing but great reviews. I have nothing but nice things to say about the school and all the people of the school, I could go on and on. I am so glad I tried them out, it was one of the greatest decisions my husband and I ever made for our daughter. My daughter absolutely loves the school!
