I enrolled my older son to Montessori School of Aberdeen after a month of constant complaining about the previous preschool that he was attending. After a year his younger twin brothers are enrolled too in this program and we love the way they feel about going to school, how much excitement about all the activities they get to do. I like the fact that this school is a house, not a pretend one but one that is very real. Everything is low and accessible, the objects needed in different activities are all in order on the shelves if not in use on the single tables, there are plants and real flowers to take care of, there is soft music playing, birds, fish and a guinea pig to feed. It's a real children's house, and my kids get to spend a lot of their day in a warm environment where their individuality is respected, where they receive guidance not directions, where the discipline and structure comes from within. For us, the Montessori approach makes a lot of sense.
