Nice day BUT .....

We just spent a wonderful day at the zoo. So much shade! Beautiful landscaping, the park and animal enclosures are immaculately kept. I've never been to a small zoo, so I'm not used to seeing animals kept in such small enclosures. It was sad. Some of the areas, (giraffes, hippos for example) are terribly stark. I'm sure the animals are well cared for and all look healthy, but I worry about their quality of life.

Cheap fun for kids

Great place to take the kids. It is always very clean and not so packed you feel claustrophobic. Make sure to get crackers at the admission gate to feed the giraffes, that's a lot of fun!
