I grew up in Abilene and came down for my Best friends baby shower. First off I get there and it took over 10 minutes for me to check in with nobody at the front. Then come to find out all the unique accommodations in the hotel, starbucks & restaurant etc. Are all closed due to no staff. It was never mentioned while booking. Not a biggy but definitely a bummer.
The two main things that really ruined my stay was 1) they have a serious pigeon problem. My room had a balcony and my lord I had 2 pigeons going at it at all hours. So to say i got maybe 10 hours of sleep, before being woken up by the horny jerks, for 2 nights is pretty accurate.
2) I could hear everything. All the doors slamming & everybody walking by. In my opinion, I would think that for a room that costs more than most places that they would have better noise cancelling. I will not be staying here again until some major changes are made. Good luck if you do.
