Apple Picking Experience at Keith's Farm

My family and I were really looking forward to our apple picking experience at Keith's Farm based on the information that we read and the pictures that we saw on their website.

Unfortunately, once we got there it immediately turned into a sour experience. They were extremely busy with close to 200 people and it immediately became apparent that they were poorly staffed, overwhelmed, and could not handle this amount of people. There were long lines to buy tickets, to get on the hayride and to purchase items.

What really made the situation worse was that once we got to the apple picking section all their apples trees were picked and they refused to open any areas that had trees with plenty of apples to pick! Many customers became irrate, because many of us were there with our children looking forward to picking apples.

We were informed by one of their staff that they could not move their barriers because they had to make their supply of apple trees last until the first week in November. Once enough customers complained they finally made a small number of trees available. Everyone made a mad dash, there were people bumping and pushing. It was not a joyful experience and I felt sorry for the younger children that could not get to the apples fast enough.

Please also note, it says on their website that they accept all major credit cards but, what they fail to tell you, is that they will not accept credit cards as payment for the hayride. One more thing, their parking area was poorly set up and very congested, they should have had employees there guiding drivers to areas with open parking spaces.
