My turbo blew out they got me fixed up truck ran better then when I started driving it. They also fixed a fuel leak that I didn't mention. Very happy with the work will definitely call here if I ever break down near chicagoland

I want to express how satisfied I am with the hard work that my employees give each and every day to this company,they are the reason that we have so many happy customers.

This company is a fraud. They will steal your money. Stay away!! They are a true fly by night, they make up prices to the customer day by day to best fit the companies financial status. There have been bills that have went from $10k to $28k just because the owner felt like it. Must be nice.

Oh yeah, and dont accidently park your car somewhere with a Great Lakes II towing sign, if you dont come get your car in a week or 2, the will crush it and display no record of it.

The list goes on and on with this company, hmm wonder what happened to Great Lakes Service #1

Be warned. Had to call the police to get my truck back. They hold your property hostage until they feel like returning. The owner is very unprofessional and thief.

They charged me for 6 hours of service for a 30 minutes job. The rest of the time the truck was just sitting there while the mechanics worked on other trucks.

They cut up wires to my starter solenoid, and wanted to charge me $400 to replace it. The part is $14 from freightliner. And 5 minutes to bolt to firewall.

Very fair. I needed a load shift. I called another company and they quoted me $1200 but when he got out there he told me it would be $2500. I don't have $2500 I'm an owner operator. So I called Great Lakes. I had used them once before years ago. They came out right away and did the job quick for $800. The guys were friendly. I'll only call them from now on.

Call them! They go out of their way to help you! My truck broke down when I was coming through Chicago. I called Great Lakes found them online. The tow truck was there in under an hour. The owner had a guy stay late to finish my truck cuz he knew I had a load to deliver. Nice guys. Easy to deal with and the price was fair. Would definitely call them again.

Whatever you do, never call this place we had our truck towed there and were told by service manage $2000.00 to repair then he said he pulled the transmission which was the way he liked to fix this problem but said the cost would still be around $2000.00 when they finished the bill was $4,498.83 which we had to pay to get the truck back, and the only warranty on it was on the few parts they put in. No warranty at all on the work. We would have been way cheaper to have it towed 280 miles and fixed here where people don't rip you a new one.

I recently broke down and called AAA for assistance. I asked them if they knew a repair shop in the area. They suggested Great Lakes Service. When I called the next morning they already had my car looked at and explained the problem to me. I spoke with Tom he was very courteous and when I came to pick up my car he took the tie to walk out and show me the repairs and explain what they did. I am very pleased with my experience at Great Lakes Service.

My truck broke down on I-295 near Chicago. I had a full load that needed to be delivered that day. I called them and they arrived in less than an hour, towed the tractor back to the shop for sevice, delivered my load, and fixed my tractor all in the same day! And I wasn't overcharged. Thanks guys for saving my job!!!

My truck stuck under a bridge in Chicago. I found these guys online, called and they arrived within 45 minutes! They were professional, affordable and quick. They will be the the first company I call when I'm in the area.
