Contractors / Vendors

I recommend scratching the surface. Check the Dunn & Bradstreet report. Their credit problems did not stem from losing a contract or a non-paying customer or putting all their eggs in one basket. It is a sign of the companies depth and strength. The supply system has no stock. Orders are C.O.D. or pre-paid. 100% of inventory is purchased after the work order is written and the customer has paid. Anything in inventory is excess from previous jobs. Hours are wasted starting jobs to find out that consumables are not present. I have worked for other 8A companies and seen the same situation. There is a business plan that meets government guidelines for bidding and what was a small company is all dressed up to look like the real thing. The corporate website misrepresents the actual condition of the company. I never want to work for a company that is controled by accountants but these are some good ones if they manage to continue to pass customer procurement audits. As of this post... Contractors, Vendors, and would be Customers are proceeding with warning and should weigh the benefits-v-liabilities. EVERYTHING IS NOT AS IT SEEMS. YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.
