Best Time Ever!

Two years ago, three girls went on summer vacation from Breese, IL to Miami, FL . It was a mother, Anna, a daughter, Taylor and me, GrMa Linda. It took us 3 long days to get to our destination. But something happened during the long car ride that made our travels very enjoyable. We decided to stop for some food at a Waffel House in a small town called Adel, GA. Little did we know what was in store for us weary travelers. The waitress was delightful. Very manerly and smiles galore. But the thing that really made us perk up and take notice, was the cook/counter waiter. He was hilarious! The radio was playing some kind of southern-style, rock & roll, churchy song that we had never heard before. But you knew that the cook knew the song because it took hold of his heart & soul and he started singing and dancing and lit up the entire place. When we left the Waffel House, our stomachs were full and we were rested and feeling full of so much joy that not only did we tip our waitress, we just had to give the cook a tip too! And to give notice to the food, all I can say is mmmmmmmmm good. I especially loved the grits with my fried eggs. We don't have grits where I'm from in Illinois.
