I drive a lot of highway miles. When my car got to 90K miles without a change in brakes I made an appointment and took it in to Hadden Tire. (The owner of my previous tire shop had a stroke and shut it down. God bless you, my friend.) After a few minutes the mechanic came in and asked if I was hearing a noise or experiencing vibration or any such thing. I explained that it had 90,000 miles and it likely needed new brakes. He said there was 7 tenths left and they were OK. I paid $10 for the service and was on my way. They could have easily changed the brakes and I would have been none the wiser. They are honest. Looks like I found my new shop.
