The ones who administer the anesthesia there may be fine, but I can tell you that it is the rudest and most hateful billing staff that I have ever spoken with! They will call you on your workplace and harass you about making a payment which is more than you can handle, even though there are payments being made on the account. When asked to speak to office manager, she was worse than the initial person we spoke to . When asked to speak to someone else in the company, she informed us that she was the Vice President along with some other titles attached and that was as far as it would go. When I told her I didn't care if she was president, she got furious and hung up on me! "Great customer service skills"! I would suggest if you can't make the payment they want, go elsewhere. She did assure me that they would turn it over to collections without their required amount.

Recently had my first cataract surgery in Southern Pines. Really surprised when I got my anesthesia bill. Good care but had to pay entire amount out of pocket because Salem Anesthesia does not participate with my insurance plan. Will probably go to Fayetteville for my second cataract surgery.

Oh my goodness, PLEASE ask who...

Oh my goodness, PLEASE ask who is doing your anesthesia before surgery and if it is Salem Professional Anesthesia REQUEST SOMEONE DIFFERENT!!! I had no problems regarding surgery, but the billing department/office staff is astonishingly rude! I have never been treated so badly bad professional people. They have been worse that I would think a bill collector would be; threatening, demanding, even hanging up the phone on me and my husband. My husband had to deal in the end because I would get so upset talking with them. No compassion, no flexibility. They had already received THOUSANDS of dollars from my insurance company but treated us terribly for the remaining $300.

Professionally I have no compl...

Professionally I have no complaints with the services provided during my recent surgery..but, be aware that while the Doctor, Hosp.(or surgical center) may be in network with your insurance..these people may not be and that may cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars..It did in my case..and they just kept repeating that they would ruin my credit unless I paid the bill in full. They wouldn't even accept the negotiated rate the insurance company would have paid if they had been in network..they wanted the full uninsured rate..very rude too..ask your doctor or hospital who the anesthetist will be if it's these folks I'd seek another doctor. Search their name you'll see mine is not an isolated case.. Be WARNED!!!
