A Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics since 1970, Dr. Mulick is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, and has had extensive training in the field of growth and development.  He received is dental degree (DDS) from the University of Pacific, after which he practiced general dentistry for four years.  Then he returned to the University of Washington for Graduate training in orthodontics, receiving his Master of Science, Dentistry (MSD) and his clinical certificate in orthodontics. 

Dr. Mulick has been Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and lecturer in orthodontics (UCLA schools of medicine and dentistry) since 1963.  He is the senior consultant and active member of both the UCLA Craniofacial Team and the Saint John’s Cleft Palate Center in (Santa Monica), as well as consultant to several other craniofacial teams in Southern California.

Dr. Mulick was a pioneer in infection control in orthodontics, with several publications in 1986 and 1988, which outlined standards used in most offices for the protection of patients from transmissible diseases. 

Dr. Mulick is an active member of orthodontic and dental societies.

In his spare time, Dr. Mulick enjoys gardening.

As a senior Orthodontist on the UCLA Craniofacial Team, he directs the Orthodontic section of the team. He has lectured extensively in the United States, Mexico, Europe and South America on the subject of early treatment, infection control, and craniofacial (cleft lip and palate) problems. His publications include most of the referred orthodontic journals as well as chapters in major textbooks.
