Provided by YP.comDuring the recent fires in Ventura County my friends and I evacuated to Lion heart Ranch. LUCKY US! During a very stressful time, the owner and barn manager rolled out the red carpet. Both the horses and their owners were treated as if we had just checked in to The Four Seasons Spa and treatment center. Our horses were bedded and fed properly, turned out and/or hand walked if requested and fed their daily supplement regime. The staff is courteous and very knowledgeable with all things "horse" related. The Barn Vet, Dr. Katie Prince was there 2x a day to check and recheck our horses for any fire related issues they might have had. She was attentive and a calming influence on us all knowing we had medical support. The owner stopped by to check in and greet us personally. WOW!!!! We rode in a perfectly groomed magnificent covered arena with excellent footing while listening to classical music waft through....I wanted to put my robe and slippers on....I was quite sad to leave believe it or not. I felt like I had been on a wonderful "Horsey Vacay" with my barn friends. If you're lucky enough to go there, then you're lucky enough!!! I would highly recommend this facility.

Provided by YP.comWhen I first was introduced to Lionheart Ranch after driving up the hill to the incredible Covered arena at the end of the Canyon I knew I was home. It reminded me of one certain Central American Equestrian Facility I had trained at for years. Beautiful, in the mountains, clean, and quiet. I moved my Mare to Lionheart for the large open stalls, the old world cobblestone walk ways, and the excellent employee's that handle the horses.Plus the Covered Arena. Around the clock coverage for my horse so I never worry if I can not make it up there for a day or a even a week. The stalls are clean and my Mare is turned out every day. I love it, I love the feel, I love the healing of Lionheart! A great place for you, your family and your horses.

Provided by YP.comI brought my mare to Lionheart in February of 2009. I thoroughly enjoyed the year and 10 months I called the ranch my 'home away from home.' I had to move her to a closer facility, after I relocated back to the west side of LA, but I still keep in touch with people at Lionheart. I can honestly report that, I personally, did not experience anything out of the ordinary horse care issues that always come up. My mare was well cared for and all of the staff, as well as the owner, Lisa, were a pleasure to work with. My mare initially had a paddock, then I moved her to pasture, and even a barn stall, on training occasions. Each time I requested a change, I was consistently accommodated and loved having a scenic and clean venue to visit. My mare had MANY rehabilitative challenges, so I greatly appreciated all of the flexibility and help I received from Lionheart Ranch. I would go back, if I were logistically able, and I would recommend the ranch highly to anyone who asks!

Provided by YP.comI've been at LionHeart Ranch for five years. I have been a boarder at many facilities over the years and I have always been impressed by the quality of care offered at LionHeart. The facilities are amazing, always incredibly clean and SO peaceful, the minute you drive in the gates you feel the tranquility of the ranch and so do all the dogs and horses. My horse, who used to have behavioral issues, has been so happy and peaceful from almost the minute I moved him there. The footing in the arenas and turnouts are better than most in the area, and the customized, dedicated care of the manager and the owner's staff is by far the best and most reliable I've ever encountered. They take care of their clientele and their boarded horses as if they are their own, they are always there to help if you cannot make it out to the barn, if there is a health issue with a horse, they are on it before the vets can even arrive. It is so nice to have that kind of peace of mind. There is also a really nice sense of friendly, supportive community up there amongst the boarders, which can be rare in this field. I would recommend LionHeart for anyone understands quality when they see it and wants the best for their horse!

Provided by YP.comI have been at LionHeart since the summer of 2004. My horse had serious hoof issues when we arrived, and the staff at LionHeart were tireless in helping me find solutions and then in providing the dedicated care that we needed. Over the years, whenever there has been an issue, Lisa and her staff have always been on top of it with attention, care and advice. I have seen this not just with my horse but with many others. The horses at LionHeart are uniformly healthy and happy, the staff is uniformly dedicated and caring, the views are spectacular, and the overall "vibe" is perfect.

Provided by YP.comI have been a border at LionHeart since its inception. Currently, I have two horses boarded and I have been happy with the facility, the staff and perhaps most importantly, the quality of care for my horses.
One of my horses has been prone to some gastro-intentinal disorders and at least three times when I was not at LionHeart, I was notified of the difficulty immediately AFTER the vetrinarian had alreay been called.
If it had not been for the dilligence and attention to the behavior of my horse, he would have been lost.
There is no facility that is perfect unless it is your own. However, I have neither found nor visited another facility in the greater Los Angeles area that provides the services and amenities that LionHeart does.
I find it interesting that two boarders who were asked to leave because of their behavior, attitude and inability to get along well with other boarders, would wait two years and then write nasty reviews.
Immaturity? Vindictiveness? Spoiled? You be the judge!

Provided by YP.comIf it is possible to give less than one star i would! The facility boasted the primary concern was the horses and they health of the animals... in the contrary they let my gelding suffer extreme wight loss (in excess of 200lbs & had to call the vet for malnutrition blood work) while I was out of town and prepaid for his care in my absence. As if that was not enough they were rude and defensive when i called to resolve the situation... they said "we told you he would not do well", NOT I am sorry & we will fix it. I would advise seriously against this facility! I am not the only one with a similar story...

Provided by YPmobileBeautiful facility, but the owner makes your life hell.....narcissistic control freak. Does not provide what's in your contract. Changes rules to fit her needs. Looks good on the website, but that's not what you get.
