I had my oil changed at Sears Auto Center in Aiea, and it was a horrible experience. They told me that it would take 2 hrs. to change my oil, which was ok with me since I could occupy my time in the mall. At the end of the two hours, they called my cell phone to tell me that they suspected a master cylinder leak. They asked if they could check it out. I agreed, and they told me that it would only take an hour longer. When I arrived an hour later, my truck was not finished. I kept being told that someone was working on my bill for an entire extra hour and a half. They seemed to be upset that I didn't agree to the master cylinder replacement for an additional $450. I spent a total of 4 and a half hours waiting to get my vehicle back. Fast forward to three weeks later and my vehicle gets hot. I take it to a non-chain mechanic, and the radiator and coolant tank are completely empty! He asks me who serviced my vehicle last, and says it is very suspicious since there were no leaks in the system. He also tells me that there is no need to replace my master cylinder. A 24 point inspection was supposed to have been included with the Sears oil change as well. When I called Sears to ask about this, Kirby answered the phone and told me that sometimes the coolant levels are checked, and sometimes the technician might just see stains from the outside and think it is ok without looking! I actually suspect that they drained my fluid after I complained about the lengthy repair time and refused the master cylinder replacement, but I have no way of prooving it. Ladies do not go here alone!
