Provided by YP.comI brought my son there back in 2005 ; never ever again ; they put him in a room n strapped him down to a board where he could not move ; hes adhd ; also they do not allow the parent inside the office while procedure is being done ; that should have been a red flag to me ; when he came out ( he had 5 caps on his baby teeth ) totally not needed ; found that out after I brought him to my dentist ; my son came outta there crying n very scared ; he told me all about what I refer to as INHUMANE treatment ; ABUSE ; it took me yrs to convince my son who is now 16 that my dentist is not gonna hurt him or tie him down ; n yes he has shared his aweful abusive experience with 2 other dentists ; this place needs to be shut down period ;very dirty also n the women at the desk were very rude to me ; ( maybe that had something to do with my race ; Being white ? they seem to be very angry women ; I feel so guilty having brought my son there n at such a young age where they remember everything

Provided by YPmobileThis place is awful! They mistreated my son and left marks on him from grabbing him so hardly. We walked out, and my son has been scared of doctors and dentists since. Horrible staff, assistants, dentists, and wait time.

Provided by YP.comI never write reviews, but today I feel the need to add my opinions. I took my children to Small Smiles a few years ago, and did not enjoy the experience then. We did not go back for regular check ups, I took them to my "adult" dentist and it was great. Well, I had to get my youngest in for an appointment by a certain date, and this was the only pediatric dentist who could get him in. We made an apt for 8am. We arrived just before 8am. We sat in the front waiting room until 9am!!! When we got back to the cleaning stations, we waited ANOTHER 30 minutes for my child to be seen. If they know they scheduled 4 children to be seen at 8am, why did they only have 1 hygienist working??? This place is ridiculous!!! DO NOT take your children there unless they are good for the wait.

Provided by YP.comWould not take my worst enemy to Akron Small Smiles! Took my children to this establishment once back in 2010. Could not believe the INHUMANE treatment my 7 yr old son received to the point where I stopped the treatment and immediately left. Now almost 3 years later I am continually harassed by this company. I receive mailings at least once a week and NOW DAILY PHONE CALLS from 330-247-0926 to make an appointment. If you press the # to speak to a representative you are never connected with a human being. I am now contacting a district manager and if this company does not stop harassing me I will seek legal advise on stopping them!

Provided by YP.comI did take my daughter to Small Smiles in Akron this morning and it was HORRIBLE! First, the lady that my daughter had was rude to her from the start. She was getting mad at her bacause she couldnt get an xray (because the things they put in your mouth for an xray were too big & making her gag). So my daughter started crying. The lady then took her to clean her teeth but my daughter was scared of her so didnt want anything to do with it. The nurse got mean with her again & said "now we have to go in the quiet room because you are crying & now you are not getting a toy out of the toy box). So, of course that made my daughter upset even more! I was pissed and upset. I cried when we got in the car...I felt so bad for my daughter. I am just shocked. I will NEVER go there again!!!!

Provided by YP.comI took my 2-year old son to Akron Small Smiles. I should have been tipped off as soon as I walked in, screaming and crying coming from every room in the place. The girl that took the x rays was nice but when we were in the examining room, the dentist (forget her name) was rude and I wasn't able to ask questions. She told me I was interrupting her and to wait until the end of the exam. Being that my son DESPERATELY needed some dental work, I took her un-professionalism. We were supposed to be scheduled @ Akron Children's for surgery and they said they would call.
THREE months later, I received a call telling me that the dentist is no longer associated with Akron Children's and I would need to find another dentist or come to their office for inpatient. HELL NO!!!
Think twice before taking your pride and joy, whatever the age, to this place. They are rude, rude, rude and I think they actually enjoy making kids cry. They really need to be investigated. . . my next stop for review goes to the ADA and my insurance carrier.

Provided by YP.com"These dental clinics were performing unnecessary and, in some cases, painful procedures on children for the sole purpose of padding their bottom line," said Attorney General Cordray. "As parents, we want to be able to trust the expertise of medical professionals in the care of our children and this behavior shattered that trust for many families."
Carrying out unnecessary and often painful procedures on children is "pretty disgusting; it doesn't get much more disgusting than that," Tony West, the assistant attorney general in charge of the Justice Department's civil division, told a news conference.
In Ohio, the clinics operated under the name Small Smiles with locations in Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Roselawn, Toledo and Youngstown.
