I have a lot of tattoos. The best tattoo i have came from Scott here at Empire ink. Its a black and white portrait of my son from when he was 1 yr old, and the tattoo is now over 10 yrs old. Before getting the tattoo, Scott explained all of the cons that come with having a tattoo where i wanted to have him place it. (On my right hand) I understood everything he explained but that was where i wanted it and he knew that and definitely put his all into it because here i am over 10 years later to tell you i have never needed a touch up, the tattoo looks just as good as the day i got it and i still get compliments everyday on it. As a tattoo artist myself, i can tell you this shop is VERY clean and everything they used was disposable single use equipment. I seen another review saying they got an infection from empire. That has got to be the most ridiculous claim ive heard in forever. Empire is very clean, clean bathroom, sinks, everywhere. Infections normally come from improper tattoo aftercare and not following your artists aftercare instruslctions because they very from artist to artist since not all inks heal the same. What an artist tells you to do is what works for the particular pigment he used on you. Assuming you know how to take care of your tattoo your own way is asking for it. And has it ever occurred to anyone that their infection came from their own dirty bathroom? Kitchen? Nasty bed sheet that havent been changed in months? Give me a break, theres no way ill ever belueve a tattoo shop that takes EVERY precaution to NOT give anyone a infection, gave you one before your dirty house did. Youve got better chances with getting struck by lightning.... twice! If you want quality portrait work in a very clean, laid back and amazingly interesting atmosphere, and you can wait because they stay booked up, then the wait will definitely be worth your visit at Empire Ink in Akron, Ohio. ~Mike Muth

got a infected from m first tattoo cost me over 100 not worth this pain and suffering
