Made a deal on a 2015 gmc 2500 hd that was initially overpriced by thousands of dollars. Received an email at 10:30 am that my offer of 5000 dollars less than asking was accepted. I tried to contact my salesman John Winkler 3 times throughout the day to put a deposit down on said truck with no return phone call. Finally at 4:30 pm I emailed the sales manage Mike Hrabovsky to get things rolling for me since I couldn't get a hold of my salesman for some reason. I then received an email telling me that the truck had been sold that afternoon. But then what do you expect from a used car salesman? Scumbags

I was in the market for a used SUV. To find the best car, I went to 7 different dealerships in NE Ohio looking at the same model with comparable miles and price. When I noticed that Toth had the exact vehicle I was looking for I was very excited. I called and talked with Keith Rittwage who seemed nice and eager to give me a good deal. I asked only 3 questions, one of which was the condition of the tires. He told me they were "good, solid tires." I made arangements to leave work early with a friend to make the 1.2 hr drive to Toth and was shocked when I saw the car. All four tires were significantly dry-rot and two has less than the required 1/16" on tread needed to make the vehicle road worthy. In addition, one of the engine mounts was rusted through, and the car stalled while idling. When I voiced my disappointment Keith offered to take $100 off the car. When I informed him I would not be purchasing the car he told me to "get out of his face." I was again shocked to be spoken to in such a way. When I asked if I could talk to his manager and where his office was, Keith said "I don't care who you talk to, find him yourself!" I then spoke with Nick Toth who was unapologetic and excused Keith's behavior in that he was "just having a bad day" and thanked me for letting him know about my experience.

I worry for consumers who do not know much about cars and may fall victim to this dishonest, predatory dealership. I would strongly advise going to another dealership if you are considering purchasing a used car.

So incredibly happy with the service department at Toth! I don't have a Buick or GMC, but I was desperately searching for someone to look at my car on a Saturday afternoon. I called Toth and they got me in immediately, treated me with respect and gave me a very fair price. The mechanics took the time to explain and show me what was wrong, and what they were doing to fix it (they actually came and got me out of the lounge, showed me the problem and gave me the cost of the repairs before they did anything else). After previous mechanics had failed to fix the problem, Toth's service department had my car fixed and I was back on the road in under an hour. Not to mention the free car wash, and that they checked my tire pressure for me as well. This is definitely where I will take my car for any future repairs.

I recently purchased a new car from Toth Buick GMC. The specific model of car I was loooking to buy, along with the certain options, was not available at any dealership in the area. The service from the staff in their search for my rare choice of car, proved to be exceptional. They went the extra mile, literally, to find an exact match of the car I had been seeking, to get it from another dealer over 100 miles away and bring it home to me. Once I saw this car, I knew it was exactly what I wanted, it was perfect.

The finance team also did an excellent job at calculating the various options offered to me for payment. They worked efficiently with the bank to secure a competitive interest rate that would help make my monthly payment fit my budget.

Overall I am very pleased with the great customer service I received and would definitely recommend that everyone come check them out in your next car search.

Well done Toth Buick GMC!

Suggestion: Don't buy any vehicles from Toth Buick-GMC in Akron (www.tothakron.com). They have AWFUL customer service and reneged on what I felt were key negotiation points after the purchase. They offered to detail the pre-owned vehicle but when I got it back it was still dirty. They also offered to touch up a couple of scrapes only to glob paint (seemingly carelessly) all over and make it appear much worse. After I brought these matters to their attention, they were rude and unwilling to help. Very unhappy and would not recommend them. Buyer beware.

Business History
Our Story... In 1936, Edward Toth Sr., a mechanic at a Buick dealership in Berea, Ohio, was given the opportunity of a lifetime. With the depression taking it's toll on the little town of Berea and the rest of America, the owner had decided it was time to sell and move to California. Because of Edward's strong work ethic and reputation as a mechanic, the owner would give him the opportunity to buy the dealership, Edward had one year from April 1st, 1936 to come up with $2,000 or he would come back and sell everything. Edward sold automobiles during the day and repaired them at night. His wife Marie ran the office while raising 3 little ones. After 12 months of the accountants telling them to hang it up, the hard work paid off, they had saved up the $2,000 and fulfilled their dream. Thirty-six years later, in 1972, Edward passed away. His younger son Ed Jr. would purchase Summit Buick in downtown Akron, Ohio. In 1981 Ed would build a brand new state of the art dealership.
