Been there twice, disappointed each time. 1st time was initial visit. They gave me a slip for blood work. However, they didn't sign nor date it. I called several times asking them to make one up for me to pick it up, and they never did. Finally brought the slip in to their office, and there were 3 things on the slip they neglected to fill out. One would think they would know how to fill out a prescription for lab work correctly.

2nd time I went in, about not being able to hear out of an ear and the pressure in my head from it. The young skinny doctor looked in my ear, said no wax. That's all he did.

Finally went to a doctor in Mexico, and he used a metal vibrating device to check location of problem. Gave me medicine to take, and my ear popped open!

Dr. Salinas in Mercedes is a super doctor. I'd rather drive a half hour out of my way to see Salinas than a few blocks to see Vela. Vela's office is NOT recommended!
