We're not techy. Hubby took in a connection to just ASK a question. They answered the question, then demanded $20! Never going back.

MDC Computers

I took my laptop to MDC Computers, Alamogordo, NM. I explained the problem, and asked if they thought they could repair the laptop. The service manager (Guessing, but he was in charge), took a look, and said yes. He stated that it could take up to 7 days to repair, maybe longer if they needed to order parts.



I returned to the store, 5 business days later. The Service Manager told me, he thought the technician had looked at it, but wasn't sure what the problem was. He told me, the technician wasn't there and to call tomorrow.



I called as the service manager told me to. The first call, the person said, that technician was running late. He took my phone number, (which they already had), and said he would call me as soon as the technician arrived.



I never received a call, so i called. The person told me the technician had not looked at the laptop. He said, my laptop was next in line, and call back on Monday.



Monday, is business day 7. I went into MDC, and the Service Manager, said they still had not looked at it. He told me, they have up to 7 days to look at a computer. This is different than the story he gave me when I took my computer in. Then he said, they didn't think they could get fixed in the time frame I was wanted. I did tell them I was leaving on Friday. That would have given them 12 business days.



He then said, it could take up to 4 weeks to get parts. That again was a different story from the first one.



They return my laptop, and basically said good luck. I left saying the truth is the first step in Customer Service. I was without my laptop for 8 days. They never even looked at it, I don't think they ever planned on looking at it.



I would never recommend this business.
