Alamosa High School has an athletics department that offers various sporting activities, such as football, soccer, golf, gymnastics, volleyball, cross county, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, golf, track and baseball. The school provides memberships for science Olympiad, knowledge bowl, peer counseling, forensics, science, key, fishing and chess clubs. Its foreign language department provides classes in French, Spanish and Hispanic. The school has courses in art, music, business, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and health and physical education. It also has several organizations, including Future Business Leaders of America, Future Farmers of America and the National Honor Society. The school has a library that includes a collection of reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries and atlases.
