Just bought two new hamsters at Pets and Pals in Albany Mall. One of them had 2 seizures before it even got home. I call them to let them know this is the 3rd hamster with seizures of which 2 died in only 2 months time. The first thing out of their mouth is that it's my fault. Well, I wasn't going to mention the 1st 2 because I had them 2 months and I figured, maybe they got sick but if you don't even make it home with the 3rd one doing exactly the same... it's NOT my cage or environment. These animals were sick when they came from your store. They offered me my money back but I have to return the hamsters in a freezer bag, dead, before I can have my money back. WOW... how heartless for 1 and second it's not even so much about the money but that they do not even care about their hamsters being sick. I'm telling you there is something wrong with them and just blindly blame the customer... Than telling me we didn't' give them enough air, excuse me, your employees put them in YOUR box to transport them home. I'm not done with this yet, You say you breed your own hamsters and raise them yourself, something you're doing is wrong, maybe they're inbred. I don't know but I'm going to get to the bottom of this. To be this heartless and careless with a living animal blows my mind... And now I'm stuck with yet another animal, just waiting for it to helplessly die in my care because it can't control it's seizures. UNBELIEVABLE Thank you for this very merry Christmas. I will never ever recommend or buy an animal at your store again and I will make sure everyone knows how careless you are.

Very knowledgable staff they were very helpful. All animals were kept in clean and well kept pens. I recommend thus store very highly

Horrible help couldnt give me the product I asked for. The feeder mice I did buy died shortly after me buying them. I would NOT recommend anyone buying anything from them. The help doesnt know anything about what they are selling.

idiot staff who dont know anything about anything there selling, almost triple prices than other stores, and the animals are in terrible living conditions. took there sales license down and reporting the place asap. ive seen some bad places before but this was by far THEE worst store ive ever seen, dogs laying in there own feces, ball pythons burned from heat lamps(use heat mat not a damn heat lamp!) anyone with even the littlest knowledge of pythons know this, 50+ guinea pigs in the same large open cage fighting and tearing up others. turtles in 1 inch of water...



id recommend petsmart over this hole in ground, and i hate petsmart.

Animals kept in horrendous conditions. 20-odd parakeets kept in a shallow box with no perches or toys or anything, ten iguanas in a space barely big enough for one, most of which had bad shed stuck to them. I don't even want to talk about the invertebrates they were selling. Even the dogs they had for sale had no toys or any kind of stimulation. The employees made no effort to talk to me or even acknowledge me as I walked around looking at things, and one was talking on the phone the entire time I was there. All in all, a terrible store and borderline animal abuse.

I purchased my Siberian Husky and he's such a great dog. I would definately buy another animal from there again. And, they washed him before we went and gave us a bag of food.
