Provided by YP.comI visited Albany Veterinary Clinic on Saturday 4/21, for a routine yearly wellness exam for my dog. I decided to do titer testing for distemper and parvo, to avoid over vaccinating. The breed of dog I have is very susceptible to auto immune diseases and negative reactions of unnecessary vaccines. I was firm with the vet David Grasso, that there were a couple vaccines I was against. This visit went well, David Grasso and his staff were very pleasant. On Monday 4/23 David Grasso contacted me by phone to inform me that the titer testing came back negative. I visited Albany Veterinary Clinic that same afternoon, so my dog could receive the vaccine that was needed. I thought my dog would be receiving only the distemper vaccine, that’s what the titer testing was for. David Grasso never disclosed that my dog would be receiving the Leptospirosis vaccine. He was very negligent in doing so, this is a vaccine that has many adverse side affects and could be deadly. I only learned of my dog receiving this vaccine when I went to the front desk and saw it on my receipt. I would not have spent extra money getting a titer test done, if I knew my dog was going to be over vaccinated anyway. I tried to discuss the situation with David Grasso he was very condescending and rude. Eventually walking away from me. Albany veterinary clinic would offer no solution for the problem they created. I would not recommend this vet to anyone
