I have had numerous experiences shopping at Apropos, both when they were out in Amsterdam and now that they are in their new location. They have ALWAYS demonstrated the utmost professionalism. They offer a tremendous number of styles; their prices are fair and reasonable; their alterations are beyond compare and free when you purchase your dress there, which easily makes them the best value in the area; and they work hard to ensure excellent customer service. They also dye shoes for free not only when you purchase them but will dye them black after your event so you can wear them again. The staff is knowledgeable, honest, and caring. I have and will continue to recommend Apropos to all my friends and family.

Ordered my daughters prom dress early in March. We were told it would b in in April. Called two weeks ago and were told it isn't in yet, but it would just b a few more days? Called again today and woman who answered the phone apparently couldn't find ours "in the stack waiting to b called". She took my number and said she will call back when "she" comes in....I sure wish we read these reviews before shopping there, I never would have gone there had I known this place does such a horrible job.

These high rated reviews MUST be posted by the owner. This place is horrible. Check the review on Yelp, The Knot, etc. They are overwhelmingly terrible reviews, and unfortunately we have now been added to the list of victims.

I got my wedding dress from Apropos. The service was great.All the employees were friendly,helpful, professional and made it a great experience. I will definitely go back for future events.

I had gone to a number of places looking for my bridal gown. Cindy at Apropos honestly blew me away. I told her what I was looking for and she was able to pick out a dress that was beyond perfect. Everyone was very friendly and were able to answer my questions right away. I would go there over and over!

They have been so helpful and accommodating from the beginning when my fiance was fitted and purchased his tux to the few times I have been in for wedding dresses and their customer service is so top notch!!

Apropos helped me find a beautiful dress for The American Dream pageant in the Bahamas. It was quite a challenge because the dress had to be extremely unique and with a little something extra to wow the judges in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. They helped me find the perfect dress, and I can’t wait to get to the pageant.

A group of us girls went in looking for a wedding dress for one of my friends. The woman that helped us out immediately wrote us off when the bride to be explained her budget for the dress. Following, this woman was extremely rude, rolling her eyes at comments towards dresses, and was not helpful at all. Additionally, the mother of the bride was also looking for a dress, to which the same rude woman offered no help and appeared annoyed. Unless you would like to shop in a snooty environment, I would NOT recommend getting a dress from this place. Not mention the poor quality of dresses compared to the price.

As an Aunt, you want the best for your niece. I recently took mine and not only was the staff super attentive and making her feel like a princess the service was beyond any of my expectations. My niece loved all of the dresses now I tell everyone to go there for any occasion.

Apropos Prom and Bridal will be holding a Prom Fashion Show at Proctors in Schenectady on Wednesday March 6th! Tickets are $5 each and money will be donated to your school of choice. Tickets are available at participating schools and at Apropos.

I was so happy with the quality of the wedding gowns and the service. I was browsing through the gowns and both consultants were so helpful and so attentive despite knowing I wasn't going to buy that day. When I came back a few weeks later I was debating between two gowns and their comments and suggestions were so insightful that I was finally able to choose the gown with confidence. What's even more impressive is that they both agreed I looked best in the least expensive gown.! Plus the alterations are included. I am so glad I choose to buy my wedding gown here!
