Beth Emeth, established in 1838 and based in Albany, N.Y., is a Reform Jewish congregation. A parenting center is available for families who attend the Shabbat services held each week. Beth Emeth offers a variety of programs for adults, youth, parents and young children, such as Torah study, Jewish living, peer leadership, religious school and lunch with the Rabbi. The junior youth group is an informal program for seventh and eighth graders designed to provide social, educational, tzedakah and ritual programs to build a fun and social connection to the synagogue and the Jewish peer group. Beth Emeth is also working with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for low-income families, and provides supplies and material, licensed electricians, plumbers and labor.
