I've lived @ Danker Village twice!! Once from '87 - '96 and some years later!! Both times, Mr.Borg & new mgr 2nd time, along w/maintenance treated me warm, friendly & respectful!! We used to laugh & talk whenever I went over to office, or saw one in passing!! I got a new stove 2nd time w/o even asking!! When I lived there 1st time, whenever I called, my request was immediately taken care of!! I would've never moved 1st time, except for fact that lady on 1st flr smoked 5 packs of cigarettes a day!! I also loved the fact that heat is included, and, enough of it!! Yes, apts are old; its apparent when you go there to see them!! I would move back tomorrow if they would accept my little 12lb Bichon!!:-( Most everyplace else accept small lap dogs w/addt'l deposit of $100. I called 3 months ago trying to get an apartment!! So, I say, "thank you Danker Village for being there for me both times when I needed a place to live that was safe, quiet & clean"!!! Respectfully Submitted, Lucille Davis

I had good and satisfied experiences living at Danker Village.

The apartment have low rent that includes heat, but the apartments are over fifty years old and they look it. The management mostly the office manger is so mean and disrespectful. if something breaks you have to beg or complain to the city to get it fix. Ask anyone who has lived at Danker Village and they will verify what I have written. A lot of elderly who live here out of no choice because of income will tell you how terrible they are treated by management of Danker Village. I know I will not renew my lease also a lot of other tenants will not do so. Look else where even if you have to pay more you are a lot better off. You will get a nicer apartment and above all RESPECT !
