I live about an hour and a half south of empire wine and always ordered online. The website was user friendly ,the prices were awesome and it was quick and timely. i just recently made the trip to the store for the first time and was just as impressed! The place is HUGE. you wouldnt think so looking at the store front. Selection from floor to ceiling (no lie!) and the staff was out of this world!! This place is a little piece of heaven!!

I have ordered from their online store a number of times and picked up at their Central Avenue location. The selection is the most impressive I have seen outside of Manhattan. Their prices are the lowest I have seen anywhere. A 1.75 L bottle of Stoli for just $29.99?! I drink a lot of fine wine and bourbon also and they have things you won't find anywhere else at mind blowingly low prices. This is the only place I shop.

DO NOT PURCHASE WINE FROM EMPIRE VIA THEIR ONLINE STORE! THEY ARE COMPLETELY INEPT AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS!



I ordered 6 bottles of 08 Turley Zin on Jul 2nd. Ordered was completed online and wine was said to be in stock. By Jul 14th it had not shipped yet and only correspondence was reciept of purchase via e-mail. A phone call to them said they were holding shipments due to East Coast heat wave and that an e-mail should have gone out (never received but fair enough). SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT ORDER WAS WAITING TO BE SHIPPED.

Called back on July 17th (15 days after order was placed) and said they could not understand why had not shipped but the would call back that day to sort it out.

No call. Called again on Jul 20th and was told they needed one more bottle and that gent named TYSON or JEANNIE would call me on 21st.

Just got off phone (4 PM EDT) due to no call and CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. TYSON finally spoke with me and said that they had ZERO bottles and would have to wait for Restaurant order to cancel. When asked why he DIDNT call me in AM he had no reply. When asked why Jeannie didnt call in AM, no reply. DIDNT CARE that I was completely dissatisfied. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM!!! TERRIBLE OPERATION, LIE TO CUSTOMERS AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ESPECIALLY FROM TYSON!



For reference, I have a modest 205 bottle collection and order wine frequently from various areas for myself as well as clients. Order from Sams Wine (Now Binny's) in Chicago, as well as Sherry Lehmann in NY and Oddbins in UK.
