The Division of Food Safety & Inspection manages jurisdiction over more than 28,000 food handling establishments. The division employs a staff of over 200 people. It inspects wholesale bakeries, retail food stores, beverage and fish processors, and food and refrigerated warehouses. The Division of Food Safety & Inspection also samples food products. The division organizes information seminars on food safety and labeling for the food industry. It offers investigation solutions for consumer complaints.
