The Boys & Girls Club of Albany has been serving Albany, Ore., and the neighboring communities since 1966. It provides a supervised environment for recreational and educational activities, especially to disadvantaged youth. It has various after-school programs and facilities that include a heated gym, classrooms, high school area and a computer-training lab with 18 workstations and Internet access. The Boys & Girls Club of Albany is affiliated with Boys & Girls Club of America and has served more than 70,000 boys and girls. BGCA s Delinquency Prevention Through Targeted Outreach program works with schools, parents, law enforcement agencies and juvenile courts to help the at-risk youth avoid gang involvement.
