Terrible

I dropped my vacuum off with the cover because it was burning a belt every other use I wanted to show the service man exactly what failed.

One week later, the service man calls and says there is nothing wrong with the vacuum. As my wife tries to clarify the issue over the phone, he responds by saying that he can't fix it anyway because we didn't bring the cover in. My wife tells him that the cover is not needed and he replies, "Don't tell me what I need to do my job. Come get your vacuum cleaner." Then he rudely hung up on her.

I called to see if I could resolve the issue and the manager said I need to talk to the owner, but he's busy. I left a message - no reply. Six hrs later and more message later - still no call.

The end of the day comes and I call the store and guess what? Instead of helping, the man on the phone says, "I don't care how many times you called. This is the first time you talked to me."

These are rude and incompetent people.

RUN from this place! I took a vacuum cleaner in for repair and left it. When I got a call several days later, I was told it needed a new motor (and cord) to the tune of over $144 installed. Thank goodness, I opted not to get it fixed. The charge for just having them look at it was $42, and when I went to pick it up, decided to apply that money to an inexpensive, used machine rather than walk out $42 poorer without a working vacuum cleaner. I spent hours (literally) waiting for the employee who was waiting on me to find a suitable replacement for the on board tools that were missing from the used vacuum, finally accepted a couple of ill fitting substitute parts, paid, and left.

That evening, a friend who tinkers with things and does a bit of handy work offered to take my machine home with him (the one that had a "bad motor), where he took it apart, found it to be filthy and clogged with hair and dirt (they didn't even bother to mention that or clean it at Bob's!). He took an air hose to it, put it back together and it works just fine now that it's been cleaned.

What a waste of time, money and energy, only to be lied to! I feel completely deceived and ripped off!

DELETED ... POSTED INCORRECTLY THREE TIMES. WHY GO THROUGH THE PROCESS ONLY TO HAVE IT CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE?

I took my sewing machine in to...

I took my sewing machine in to have repaired (it needed a new belt) and tuned up. The service tech called me later that day and said it was missing a bolt and he could not fix it and to come pick it up. I picked it up and noticed when I got home that some of the parts were missing. I called the store the next day and the service tech told me he didn't know what I was talking about and then rudely hung up. I called back and was very rudely spoken to by the lady who answered the phone and again hung up on. What horrible customer service. I called back and talk again to women I had orginaly spoke when I brought my machine in and tried to get her to remember the two of us discussing and looking at the parts. They both then said it was just as I had brought it in and refused to listen just kept talking rudely over me and hanging up on me mid sentence. How can the owner of this business even dream of letting his employees hang up on customers let along talk so unprofessionable. I was thinking of trading in my machine for a new one but not now. I will never go back. I suggest you take your business else where.

Great place

We have been trading with Bob's for years and years...bought several vacuums there and had them all serviced over time. They have the best selection, are the most knowledgeable, and consistently helpful. I ventured into a competitor only once and was very dissatisfied. I just never think of going to anyone else. Their prices are reasonable and they back up their products. This is a good place to shop!
