Provided by YP.comI believe that honesty is the best policy, so I am going to present both the positive and negative aspects of Broadstone Heights, despite the fact that I feel the negative far outweigh the positive. With that being said, I have lived here for the last 15 months, and can honestly say that the maintenance crew is wonderful. They have gotten to all of my issues within a day of my filing a maintenance request. Furthermore, the grounds are pretty and well maintained. I also like the fact it is gated. I have only seen it broken 3 times at most while I have been here, and most of the time it was not broken for long. The complex is centrally located and has everything nearby from grocery stores to dog parks. Finally, the apartments are nice with high ceilings, crown molding, and large windows.
Now I get to the part where I tell you the reason for my stay being only 15 months. Once in October of 2012, and again in July of this year (2013) the apartment complex broke into my garage, removed my items (the first time throwing away my property), and tried to move someone else in. Now, I should say that we had been paying for the garage in October and the office "didn't know" that it belonged to anyone and therefore, took it over. The second time, we had put the garage in our lease and had been paying for it, but were unknowingly taken off our garage because someone had said that the garage remote they turned in had belonged to our garage. So this means that either someone had access to my garage other than myself, or the apartment complex did not check to see who the person was or which garage the remote actually belonged to. Either way, I found my things missing, and people moving into my garage yet again.
To be fair, the manager did switch out the remotes to the garages after this incident so that supposedly this wouldn't happen again, but I'm not sticking around to find out if this is the case. (They did not check my name or garage number when I turned my remote in after my garage leaked this last week, so it makes me wonder if anything has changed.) In all honesty, the final straw was not even the second break-in, it was when my husband and my name were removed from our apartment gas bill. The apartments claimed that they did not have the right to remove people from the bill, but they didn't have the right to break into my garage either.
So, in conclusion I am simply tired of fixing Broadstone Heights' staff mistakes; I do not have the time and feel I pay too much for the apartment to deal with these issues. Therefore, I'm happily moving out. Make the judgment for yourself whether to live here or not, but for my husband and me, it simply is not worth the hassle. I just wish we had heeded the warnings of others.
