Awesome Experience

I had been wanting to learn Capoeira for many years but never lived near an opportunity. I moved to ABQ in Feb of 2010 and began taking classes in March.



My first impressions of the owner/instructor Mestre Virgulino were a humble and very positive man. When I began classes I had been out of training for anything for years due to 2 wrist surgeries and a back surgery and weighed nearly 350lbs.



Mestre Virgulino has had patience and sincere pride in teaching myself and all of his students, with his help I've lost over 90lbs and I will be receiving my first promotion this week.



Let me also stress, this is not your normal McDojo, but it is also not the modern MMA academy, if you are looking for either of these, you may as well go home. Mestre Virgulino was born and raised in Brazil, and teaches not only the physical movements of Capoeira, but the culture and the art of it as well.



When you arrive to train here you know you will be given all the tools necessary to grow in this art. Give it a try, I did.
