D&J are subcontractors for Sears appliances that install appliances such as ranges and dishwashers. When dealing with Sears' superb level of customer service and Sears Home Delivery for other appliances like clothes washers and fridges, D&J doesn't meet Sears standards. They have poor delivery communication. It's impossible to contact the company. No one answers the phone and voice mail boxes are full. One of my appliances wasn't delivered on the scheduled install day. The one that was delivered, was delivered late in the afternoon at 5 pm after waiting at home all day for a delivery at a time that wasn't communicated. On top of that the installation wasn't fully finished. Everything that went wrong with my delivery was blamed on Sears. However a quick phone call to Sears, a helpful Sears rep, and a few conference calls later, the root of the problem laid with D&J.

If you're buying an appliance from Sears and paying for install. Call the Sears Contractors Delivery Group, ask them to tell you who your installer is. If it's D&J, I highly recommend requesting a change of contractor.
