Elaine brings a wide variety of experience and skills to each job. Our home was constructed in the 50's, we were working with a fairly modest budget, and we were hoping to finish our project by a set date, yet Elaine was undaunted by these constraints. She listened very thoroughly to our wishes and concerns, and presented a plan that would unify the entire house in a timely manner and within a reasonable budget. She has good relationships with very skilled craftspeople in a variety of trades, and arranged every phase of the project so that the whole thing went smoothly. We had our entire interior painted, floors refinished, carpet installed, some fans installed, and a few new furniture pieces added, and our house feels like a completely new home! You very rarely hear people say that a remodeling venture was 'enjoyable' but I can honestly say that Elaine made the entire process not only enjoyable but exciting and possible.

Elaine helped us take our nice home to fabulous. She updated our kitchen. We took an awkward sized space and had a custom table built to fit with chairs and benches and topped by a hand wrought iron lighting fixture. The space is now a cozy casual dining/work space. We redid the island, creating a custom backsplash and finished it off with new hardware and a georgeous paint job. In our living room, Elaine supplied us with the perfect task lighting, restuffed the cushions on our Nubuck suede chairs, selected elegant fabrics and trim for new pillows for our couch and finished the room with the addition of a beautifully patterned overstuffed linen chair. In our dining room, Elaine used lace cut out sheers and topped them with a sophisticated valace, framing the window that opens to a small grouping of Aspen trees.Elaine selected new floor covering that brought the two rooms together.Elaine rearranged our furniture and art work to create beautiful groupings and a mouch more comfortable flow. Eliane was able to offer us products, services, workmanship and crafts people we would not been able to attain on our own. Elaine's access to furniture makers and lighting sources are first class and not available on a retail basis here in New Mexico, and for a lower cost than retail in other market places. Elaine oversaw the materials and people involved in our project, as well as the selction, ordering, delivery, installation through all phases of the design. She did her research based on our duscussions and brought us samples to select. She did a great job with that as we do not have the time or inclination to do that research.Elaine kept the project moving at a comfortable pace with minimal disruption to our daily lives. Our recent experience with Elaine Burnidge Interiors was nothing short of life transforming. Elaine's patient, calm and confident expertise did so much to make us feel relaxed and confident in what would otherwise been a very slow-moving, painful process to do a remodel on our house. Before we hired Elaine we were feeling paralyzed in our efforts to even begin the process and if we would not have hired her, I am convinced we would still be living in our "old" house and not in the new one which she so joyfully helped us to create. Her understanding and vast experience of the process and the meticulous subcontractors with whom she works, made our home remodel very smooth and comfortable. She began the process in a relaxed way and set our minds at ease immediately, in fact, even made us excited about the project which we had been dreading for so long. She never pressured us to make up our minds about paint colors and other such crucial decisions. After we had picked out our colors the first time, we changed our minds and went with completely different colors. Elaine did not even blink, but understood that this process is not a straight line. She is very good at helping her clients to choose what is best for them and their life style and does not try to change their view or what they envision, but helps to make that vision come to fruition as painlessly as possible. She is very adept in explaining how to begin, make progress along and finish the project, even if that project may take some time with needed breaks for the owners.We found Elaine to be very responsive to us as her customers, readily available and willing to go the extra mile to please us. If we were happy, she was happy. And if we weren't happy with something, she worked very hard and quickly to remedy the situation. We would highly recommend Elaine Burnidge Interiors and look forward to working with her again as we pick up the project again in the future.

I have known Elaine for almost a decade and used her services on a variety of projects ranging from window and bed fabrics to a complete room addition. When I purchased a second home in Arizona, i chose to fly her there rather than find a local designer.Elaine is competent, responsible and creative. She has a unique ability to understand your personal taste and offer you appropriate choices. She saved me innumerable hours of sourcing choices.
