Me and my husband decided to put in an application for a home they had listed. Both me n my husband have common names here in the state of New Mexico. So we paid the $70 app. fee and I got as call back the next day saying they couldnt rent to us because of ALL the judgements and negative criminal records that came up with our name. Neither me or my husband have anything negative on our criminal record and our credit line isnt the best but nothing bad enough to NOT get qualified. I found out they were going thru a state wide "name" data base that of course popped me up as a child abuser, a person that had over $20,000 in fraud charges, and also that had 5 or 6 apartment judgements. Even tho I paid for THEM to pull an accurate credit and crimianl record I went as far as pulling my own police records pulling my own credit scores to prove to them nothing was negative and somehow or another the "broker" Forgot to call me and let me know we still did not reach theyre rental criteria and deni
