Provided by YP.comOf the owners, Marie, raised her voice to me during instructional time when I needed help. I tried to discuss this with her (giving her a chance to apologize) but she just got more aggressive. She ended up yelling at me in my face. I then tried to talk to Patrick, the other owner, about it and he stood by her behavior.
After doing more research on this company, it's clear that she wasn't just having a bad day and the rude behavior seems to be the single most common complaint about this place.

Provided by YP.comBest pottery studio ever! This is a true teaching studio with the goal of turning you into a potter! Excellent teachers that are very knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge for your benefit. They're Open 7 days a week enabling most anyone to go. They offer simple try it out classes to memberships that even allow 24 hour access. I've taken classes at several studios in town and this one in my opinion is the best. As far as a pottery studio goes, this one is VERY clean, but pottery is a messy art so one has to remember that. The owners are local artists and are eager to share their knowledge & expertise. Their studio also sells wares from other local artists so it's a great place to do some local gift shopping and support living, eating, & air breathing artists. I hope people give them a try!

Provided by YPmobileMy husband and I went to visit this place as a fun "clay date" we'd bought off groupon. Ohh how I'd listened to the terrible reviews. We didn't even get past the waiting room. I was yelled at the close the door at least 3 times as my welcome into this establishment. The woman who supposedly owns this place is running herself and her cracked out boyfriend out of business. My husband is in the military and the way this woman treated him disgusts me. The owner rudely told us we were welcome to leave because my husband would not write his email address..... Really?? She is insane. She told my husband he did not "deserve" customer service. Period. We literally just walked in, having a lovely Sunday, to run into this unfortunate creature and left without even being there 10 minutes. When my husband went back to get our forms(that were no longer needed as we were obviously never coming back) and the guy CHASED him down to the car saying that OUR information was their property??! Craziest experience ever. And if you're looking for the worst business in Albuquerque, you'll find it here. Can't believe this place is in business. Won't be for long!

While their customer service over the telephone can sometimes be challenging, once you are there this place is so worth it! The owners are very friendly and accomodating and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here! The classes are fantastic, the price is good, and you get something that you made out of it! I have done multiple classes there including hand pottery, wheel, and glazing and enjoyed them all very much. Their website does not show all of their classes so I would recommend calling and dont be turned off if you dont get the friendliest person. The experience is well worth it!

Provided by YP.comWatch out. This business is up there in the worst customer service category - a general lack of caring about the customer and general feeling that they are doing you a favor. The pottery class itself was very enjoyable, but the experience in trying to schedule a class and actually get the pottery you made has been another story. I was supposed to get a call about picking up the pottery within 2 weeks - it's now been 7 weeks with no phone call at all. Evidently a big waste of time and money. And, I don't think they really care. There seems to be a general lack of customer service and a general lack of organization around the pottery created. I would organize pots by the date created and by who made them so that there is a system to use for follow-up. But, there doesn't seem to be any system in place at all and certainly no interest in trying to please the customer other than during the class itself. This is not a way to run a business.

Provided by YP.comThe service was horrible!! I was trying out Groupon for the first time along with trying pottery making for the first time. The lady I spoke with at the establishment was horribly rude. Was not at all accommodating and did not give any sort of helpful information for "first timers". The whole conversation she spoke with a negative attitude. So I regrettably called Groupon and asked for a refund. Thankfully they were willingly.

This is an amazing business! They really care about their customers, they are environmentally conscious, they are reasonably priced, they are knowledgable, and they are fun! We will definitely be going back soon!

For $100 a month, you have access to wheel throwing and hand building facilities seven days a week. Your clay, tools, glazes, and firings are included with three lessons. If you've never thrown before, you can create a perfect bowl in your first lesson! There are discounted rates for purchasing 3, 6, or year memberships, but you have to ask for them. When you become a member, hourly lessons are $10; for non-members lessons are $20 an hour. You can learn just about anything clay related that you want. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their library is great to look at when you are at a lack of ideas. The Best Part: My children under 12 years are free under direct membership and your supervision. The open house on Friday nights are fun! They have food and music and you can ask questions to the residential artists as they work on new stuff! Meeting new people is always a bonus.
