Provided by YP.comThe Dr. is very personable and seems knowledgeable, however, I have Aetna dental access and the office person knew that. She billed me on the spot for $88 for an exam and an extraction which perfectly matched the Aetna estimate I had listed for these services. I subsequently received a bill for $93 dollars more. I called and the office person said mine was not a simple extraction but a "surgical extraction". BS, he pulled the tooth in less than 5 minutes and there was nothing extraordinary or complicated or "surgical" about it. I would not return to this Drs. office as it wasn't made clear up front what my charges would be. I'd say thumbs down, best wishes finding a good dentist in this area!

I really wish I had read these reviews before I took my children to this dentist. It was my 3 year old's first dental work ever to be done. He needed fillings between his two front teeth. They ONLY use laughing gas.. no numbing agent was ever used.. he drilled so far into my son's teeth that my son was SCREAMING in pain.. my husband asked him to please numb it and he said no because he was almost done. My son was struggling so hard that it took 4 people to hold him down. There is a difference in a baby's cry between scared and OUCH THIS HURTS! The whole thing was totally heart wrenching, I left crying. I feel like a total failure as a parent. I felt like after it was started I had to see it through to the end because I couldn't leave with my son having the roots of his front teeth exposed. If you love your children, this place is NOT for you.

Why would anybody send their child for caring, compassionate treatment to a dentist who was convicted of sharpening his son's helmet so it would slash other children during an athletic event? One of those kids was hospitalized because of it! WTF!?! Who has been giving this dentist high marks? His staff? His family? Himself?Good grief!

Our experience at Dr Cito's was horrible. We had an appointment and still waited for over an hour. The chair we were brought to was broken in the laying down position. This was my three year old's first time at a dentist. He and his staff showed no sympathy for my child who was scared out of his mind to have to just lay down in front of people he had never met and let them poke around in his mouth. I tried holding him down, but I couldn't listen to him scream like that, so I said we would have to go. Then he told me my son would do better next time if I didn't come in with him, because he would have to do what Dr. Cito wanted. He managed to find one cavity and said he wanted to put him to sleep to fill it. I don't see how it can be worth it to subject a three year old to the dangers of anesthesia for a cavity that doesn't even hurt. There was also a lawsuit filed against him because a 5 year old died while under anesthesia for oral surgery.

I just want to draw attention to eyein the sky's comment below. He is 100% accurate. Dr. Stephen Cito did, indeed, sharpen the buckle of his son's hockey helmet so that it would slash other players. You can find the basics here:http://www.nytimes.com/1996/12/25/sports/player-father-admit-sharpening-buckle.htmland more details here:http://www.thefreelibrary.com/PREP+FOOTBALL+%2F+AROUND+THE+NATION+COURT+PUNISHES+FATHER,+SON+FOR...-a065054677I don't think this is something that can simply be overlooked.

Dr. Cito is amazing and I had nothing but great experiences with him. My children love him. My daughter has a cleft lip and palate and he is part of the CLP Team and I couldn't be more fortunate. my kids love him and love seeing him. I am so glad he is my Childrens' dentist! I have been allowed to be with my kids at all times. He has been very patient and loving. He answers all of my questions or concerns that I may have in regards to my children. I trust him with my children and I grateful we have him.

I have been taking my older daughter to him for the past 6 years. He is wonderful. All the dental hygienists / assistants are really nice & this office lets the parents go in with their children for all office procedures, which I love! There are video games in the waiting room. They may be older games, but its better than nothing. Sometimes my child can get in and out within a half hour for a cleaning & sometimes it takes longer, no different than any other office.

I am 29 years old looking for a dentist for my 4 year old. I came across Dr. Cito and it sent a chill down my spine. He was my dentist as a child and to this day I fear the dentist because of this man. He would never let my mom and the room, and when he couldn't get me to stop crying, he put his hand over my mouth and nose and said, "are you gonna stop crying now?" Trembling with fear as well as being unable to breathe, I nodded my head yes. He is also the man who put razor blades on his sons football helmet who played for St. Pius. When I heard that on the news, I wan not a bit surprised. As a mother, I urge you not to send your child to this man. He traumatized me for life.

It's like a puppy mill for pediatric dentistry. Everyone is rushed and most employees are rude. They may be stressed over the ten (or more!) dental chairs that are being occupied at the same time, but my concern is for my child. I commented to the hygienist that it takes me longer to brush my child's teeth than it took her to do a proper cleaning. Her response is that she didn't want to traumatize him (he wasn't fussing at all!!). I won't be taking my children back there. The plus side is that there are video games in the waiting room for older children who are interested in outdated games.
