This place is Great!

Have been here numerous times and the food is great, made from scratch and CONSISTENT! Have tried items from biscuits/salads(chicken)/Mexican(red burrito) and you cant go wrong with any one of them. Stripes is locally owned plus the respect & honor for our veterans is so admirable. This will be a regular dining spot for me!

Must Go to Place!!!

Stripes is just what Alb needed!! The support for veterans, the tribute to the military personnel on the walls are just the beginning. The staff is super friendly and efficient!! Even the owner visits tables and checks on customers!! The food was great and portions are huge! We have gone several times and have tried different items each time. The Biscuit dishes are so unique and so tasty! You can tell that everything is house made right down to the strawberry jam(a biscuit and jam is a must have!) If you are wanting Mexican food, the burrito(Carne adovado) and the Huevos Rancheros are both excellent and we make sure we get the papitas on every meal!! Great food, great service and so much heart! We will be regulars!!

Loved it!

Fantastic food and service-Albuquerque has needed a place like this for a long time-- Portions are huge
great scratch cooking-the biscuits are to die for!Taste their honey butter and homemade strawberry jelly! I had their burrito plates and i can honestly say their chili competes with some of the very best!
Its my new go to place--donating 15% of profits to the VA!! Great cause!

Breakfast Review

Inside was clean, service was good, price was kinda high, but food was unacceptable! Portions were small. I have traveled all over our great country and I just do know how you can mess up sausage gravy and biscuits. If your going to advertise homemade biscuits they should be hot, large, and fluffy! These were tiny and almost looked like the baker didn't want to part with his dough. Its bread! Dont be cheap on bread. The sausage gravy should be white with lots of sausage in it. Their sausage gravy looked like the cook didn't know what he was doing and overdoing it with too many different seasonings. I just dont understand why you have to re-invent the wheel? Keep it simple. The bacon was good! Potatoes are not good ( Freezer To Fryer). Coffee was good. Also word of advice to kitchen staff after making an omelet wash pan before scrambling eggs so they are nice and yellow not a gray color because you were to lazy to give a quick wash. I will try back to this restaurant in a few months to see if they made any changes. To the owner take a look at a restaurant called (Tudor's Biscuit World) They stay busy all-day and its always delicious. Cheers!

At your own risk...

Ordered corned beef hash from the menu and what I got was diced corned beef, nothing else (potatoes, onion, bell pepper, egg). What a waste of time and money. Also, be aware that a small glass of iced tea is $2.50
