Presented by the National Institute of Flamenco & Heritage Hotels, Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque features award-winning international artists, as well as performances by members of Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company, the first ever US/NM-based flamenco company to be invited to a Spanish flamenco festival — the 27th Festival de Jerez. Flamenco is a UNESCO-protected artform. A defining characteristics of a tablao is the intimate setting. Tablao is a structured improvisational conversation between the dancers and musicians, so no two performances are ever the same. Our tablao was designed from the ground up to serve as the country's premier home for this vibrant artform.
