Provided by YP.comI can not say enough great things about Dr. Leonard. I have used him for over 15 years he is very professional. He will go above to give the best care he can provide and if it is not something he can treat he will refer you to someone who can. I trust him with my pets.

Provided by YP.comOur emotions so control us. Unfortunately, it seems that we only take a moment to review when we are angry. And we do elaborate to make our point. I wish more people would stop for a moment and praise the good times. Please ignore the stupid comments that come before me. Case in point, Valley Veterinary Clinic. I'm a retired Veterinary Practice Manager. I moved to Alabama to live on a wonderful farm. I've been spending the last 7 months driving back to my hometown (150 miles) to my vet. Today I had an emergency and needed a vet right now. Always God answers my prayers and sent me to Dr. Leonard and Angel. I know talent and honesty when I see it. My Jazzy cat may not make it past Rainbow Bridge but it won't be because the best talent, experience and caring was not provided for. These people are the best you could hope for. They love your pet regardless, even when they just meet them. I've rarely seen such love and care and KNOWLEDGE! Thank you Dr. Leonard and Angel. I'll always remember you for the best veterinary has to offer our beloved pets.

Provided by YP.comMy pet was going downhill very quickly so I called the vet and he urged me to come in as soon as possible. I asked before coming if he treated exotic animals and I was told yes. His symptoms were sneezing, coughing, and watery eyes which isn't a good sign for this type of animal. He was seen on a Friday and wasn't given any medication (which I know that it isn't always needed) however I was promised a free visit if things did not get better. By Wednesday he was still not doing well his eyes had matted shut and he still was sneezing, I called he vet and told them and hey said to come on in. I drove an about 30 mins to take him and when I got there I never left the front room. He weighed my pet and didn't even take him to the back he did everything at the front desk so it took all of maybe 2 mins. He said it didn't look bad(which it did) and gave me eye drops, then went on to say it wasn't the same problem as before (which it was) so that visit would not be free. I paid over $130 within 5 days all because I was lied to so I will never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone! It was the worst experience I've ever had and he made me feel so unwelcomed.

Provided by YP.comWorst experience ever! Assistant was extremely rude and the veterinarian smacked my dog as he squirmed to get away from a nail trim. I found this whole experience VERY disturbing! Will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to anyone! They should be shut down

Provided by YPmobileThis is the WORST transaction I've EVER made in my 34 years. Told they were open the fourth & I couldn't get my dog until Monday. I would have picked her up Friday but they left a late message that I didn't get until after they closed so now I'm being charged for 3 extra nights. Will only take cash now because I'M being difficult?? Sabrina & Dr. Leonard are unprofessional & the rudest individuals I've ever dealt with. Plus, now they're adding extra fees other than the cost of boarding which is stealing. If I could give negative stars, this would be the first. BEWARE of this fly-by-night filthy vets office, please?! I would've gladly paid double elsewhere if I knew how low down & dirty they are just to make a dollar there. Worst $300+ I have ever spent in my life!! And they're giving my father a hard time to even pick her up?! Don't waste your money or your nerves on this place. Offered to send vet the message I have from his office in which Sabrina is lying to me on my cell & she also lied to my face. Jenna was decent but she told me they were opened for the 4th of July but Dr. Leonard decided Friday to go out of town...so I got the message stating she was stuck there until Monday because they changed their hours. Will be spreading the word as much as I possibly can. They're practically holding her hostage at this point. BEWARE if you care for your animals!!

Provided by YP.comI have used Valley Vet for several years. I have 3 dogs and a cat. I have always been happy with the care I receive from Dr Leonard and his staff. During our most recent visit Teresa took care of us and did a great job. Sabrina often helps too and is great.

Provided by YPmobileI had ordered a year's supply of Revolution on 1800petmeds. I had previously taken my dog in March to get his shots and I bought a 6 month supply of Revolution from Valley Vet. 1800petmeds contacted me after I ordered stating that Valley Vet didnt answer their request for authorization on the Revolution prescription. I called Valley Vet to find out why and she said that if I didnt pay the "prescription fee" of $17.50 then it wouldnt have been authorized. So I paid the fee. I called 1800petmeds immediately afterwards and was told that they dont feel that vets charging prescription fees is ethical and that if I send them an invoice of what I paid they will give me a credit for that amount off my next purchase. I dont feel its ethical either and if I had known they did that Id have never used them. Guess some businesses are just out to make a profit anyway they can. In my opinion it is extremely poor business ethics and I will never use them again.

Provided by YP.comMy wife and I got a mix breed puppy later December/early January. We went to this veterinary office because it was local and my mother had used them before. The first two visits were really good; the doctor and the assistants were really nice and helpful (wish I could remember their names for kudos). However, today were took our puppy back today for his third round of booster shots and got a different staff with a horrible attitude with a big slap of rudeness. The assistant told us that the puppy would also need another round of heartworm preventative every month for the rest of his life, which we were told different by the fist staff. We decided not to do it since he's an inside dog and for the fact I have never had to treat any of my past pets with that much prevention. Well, then we go into the exam room to get the booster shot for our puppy only to have a different doctor belittle us and rudely stated that if we were attached to this dog that we would do this. Who are you to tell me that I must not love my dog since I'm not giving him this heartworm treatment; my puppy has already had two preventatives in his first two visits. We proceed with the booster shot and as we are paying them for the service the doctor comes in behind the desk and starts riduling our decision in front of other people in the waiting room saying that we are going to pay a higher price going with different preventative sources. We had scheduled another appointment to go back, but a called back to cancel it and told them I was taking my pup to another vet who wasn't as rude. I wish I could have had the original staff that had helped me the first two visits, but oh well. You have been warned about these jerks.

Provided by YP.comWe took our cat in today because he had gotten into fight. We were charged $250 for emergency service, even though it was before closing. The lady at the front desk has been rude every time we have brought one of our cats in. Today, she insinuated that the wounds on my cat's face were self-inflicted due to non-treatment of ear mites. Our cats DO NOT have ear mites! We check them regularly and they are all very well taken care of. I take better care of them than I do my husband lol. She is very cocky and rude. Even though the vet may be terrific with animals, I will not be taking our cats here any longer because of her. If she treats pet owners this badly, it makes me wonder how she treats my beloved pets! BEWARE!!

Today, we were charged $250 for emergency services, even though it was before closing. She insinuated that the wounds on my cat's face were self-inflicted due to the non-treatment of ear mites. Our cats DO NOT have ear mites. We take very good care of our cats (we have four). Anyone could look and tell that the wounds were from a fight. While the vet may be good with animals, I have never met him, as he is never there. We will not be taking our cats back to Valley Veterinary. If she is this rude to pet parents, it makes me wonder how she treats my beloved cats. BEWARE!!
