Established in 1976, Christian Center School enrolls students in prekindergarten through grade eight. The school s elementary curriculum is A Beka for Bible studies and core subjects, and includes various subjects, such as arts and crafts, chapel visits, computer studies, health, safety and manners, history, geography and social studies, language arts, mathematics, music and movement, physical education, science, and Spanish. It also provides a cocurricular studies program that consists of field trips that extend learning beyond the classroom. A study of national holidays and other calendar observances, current events, and community projects are included in the program. Christian Center School has a morning and afternoon program designed to help working parents by giving child care before and after the academic school day. The school also offers various sports programs, such as cross-country, football, golf, soccer, basketball, bowling, hockey, baseball and track. Christian Center School is located in Alexandria, Va.
