First, the cleaning division of the business is superb. Unfortunately, the alterations division it houses is pricey. I had a seam (pants) repaired and it was done on the spot for $11 (okay I guess). Last month, I took two sport coats to have the sleeves hemmed. I did not notice the obscure price list on the counter (difficult to decipher if one attempted to read) and I did not receive a quote (the seamstress speaks minimal English). I did not ask as I thought it would be reasonable. When I picked the coats up the owner of the cleaners said, "You had some expensive alterations done." He told me my bill was $81; $11 for the cleaning and $70 for the alterations (sleeves hemmed on two sport coats).



When you receive the ticket the price for alterations is not reflected. In small print you can see "alteration prices are in addition to cleaning".
