Provided by YP.comHorrible experience - ruined our Persian rugs. Dismissive and rude, refused to compensate because carpets were dirty when came in. Their treatment methods are not prudent, hence the extensive discoloration and runs experienced. Buyer beware and first check their poor reviews on BBB and Checkbook magazine!! If you have nice rugs, do not hand them to that company. You would be taking a huge risk.

Provided by YP.comDon’t use Hadeed for your rug cleaning—you’ll be very sorry! Their work is spotty at best, they will jack up the price on you, and their customer service is abysmal. I used Hadeed this spring to clean 11 rugs after our basement flooded. When we finally got them back months later, several of the rugs were poorly cleaned and still had dirt in the fibers. Another moderately expensive oriental was supposedly ‘repaired’ for $2800! I showed it to a friend who is an expert on oriental rugs. He was appalled at how bad the work was and said we got ‘taken to the cleaners’ on the repair. On top of that we were overcharged by more than $400. After many phone calls, I finally talked to Joe Hadeed himself, who probably is the rudest business owner in the DC area. He told me I was trying to rip off the poor Hadeed family and their workers—and he told me I was wasting his time. When I asked him if he knew the meaning of customer service, he hung up on me. He still owes me the $400+.

Provided by YP.comI originally called Hadeed because of an ad I heard on WTOP radio. The ad stated that Hadeed is number 1 in caring about their customers and their reputation. My experience with them has me saying that they do not care about either. I scheduled an appointment with them to have my hand made Oriental rug cleaned. I closed down my business on a Saturday to be able to be home to receive my rug on the time and date Hadeed said they would drop it off. I waited all Saturday afternoon. After hours of being late, Hadeed’s driver called without a care in the world, and said how they were not going to come that day. I was then TOLD(not asked politely) to be home at 2PM the next Saturday. So again, I close my shop on the next Saturday to be at home at 2PM. They arrived roughly at 5:20… Again, they didn’t care about their tardiness nor did they apologize. I didn’t even get a phone call about when they would arrive. I’m surprised they showed up at all. When the time came to pay I mentioned the WTOP ad because you get 10% off if you mention it. The delivery man brazenly told me that I was not eligible for it without telling me why. It was obvious he didn’t care and was just there to drop off my carpet and collect my money. I was just a talking wallet to him basically. At least that’s how I felt.
I unfortunately had also scheduled their cleaning service for my house when I also asked for my carpet to be cleaned. My wife, who is the co-owner of our business, stayed home for work for this visit. Which effectively had my business running at half capacity. Hadeed was scheduled to be at my home at 8AM. Then the inevitable happens. They do a no call no show. Finally at 8:30 a woman calls me and says, “I was told to tell you that the car en route to you broke down,” and “nobody is going to come to your house.” I asked if anyone else was going to come, and they said no…This was beyond unacceptable, because when I first talked to the cleaning service they said that if I cancel my scheduled date within 24 hours of the date I would have to pay a penalty. But, when they don’t show up and don’t accommodate me it’s ok and no one cares. I don’t see how anyone can run a business when they treat their customer like this. All I can say to anyone who might consider using Hadeed is, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. They have no customer service skills, they are apathetic to your plight, and they are very arrogant and condescending. Throughout this whole ordeal no one, not one time, ever said they were sorry. They never apologized for anything. Please do yourself a favor and don’t even think about using them

Provided by YP.comDropped a $300 rug off to be cleaned at their Vienna drop-off location. I was very specific about not wanting to pay too much since the rug wasn't worth that much to begin with. The salesman said the price would be around $150, which seemed high to me, but I said "okay" as long as it wouldn't be more than that. He assured me that someone would call me with a final quote once the carpet got to their main cleaning facility.
So I was surprised when I got a call a few days later from a Hadeed rep. saying that my carpet was finished and wanting to know when they could deliver it. I told the lady on the phone that I was under the impression they would be calling with a final quote before cleaning. She said that she didn't know why the sales reps at the drop-off centers tell people that b/c that's not how they operate.
During that phone call, she also told me that the total was, as quoted, $150. However, when they delivered the carpet, the price on the slip was $206. Turns out they "had to do" an extra cleaning and deodorizing on the rug and took it upon themselves to charge an extra $65 for that, with no warning other than a form letter. I called them and spent 20 minutes arguing with some lady on the phone about the extra charge and how I had not authorized it and was not going to pay it. They agreed to give me a discount on the cleaning and cut the charge in half. So the total would end up being $165. I said fine mainly b/c I was tired of arguing with them.
When the rug arrived a couple days later, some areas on the binding around the edges had been ripped during the cleaning process and pieces of frayed thread were sticking out. I sent the rug back b/c according to their website video, they are supposed to fix any damages that result from the cleaning process. I got a call later the same evening from another Hadeed rep saying that he had assessed the damages to the rug and would be happy to fix it for an extra $45. I spent another 10 minutes arguing with him and expressing my overall dissatisfaction with the company and their apparent false advertising since they make no mention of any extra charge to fix damages. He agreed to do the repairs for free but "warned" me that in the future, I "should know how they operate".
I received two more subsequent phone calls to arrange final delivery of the rug and each time, the phone rep. was very abrupt and rude.
While the quality of the work they do is fine, my overall experience with Hadeed Carpets was astonishingly negative. I had the impression that they were constantly scamming to try to make an extra buck.
If I had not stood my ground and argued with them then it would have cost me over $250 to clean a rug that was $300 brand new. That makes no sense.
I will NEVER do business with these people again and I advise others not to as well.
They are scammers.
