My friend picked this place to purchase her wedding dress. This was several years ago, but as I re-told the story last night, I thought, well, now I have a chance to give them a review online since they never responded to the letter I wrote years ago. I can only hope that they have gotten better since then. My friend purchsed a $2700 dollar dress from this place. I also purchased a $350 bridesmaids dress. I asked for a size 6. They told me I should order a 4 based on my measurements, I said no, I have never worn a 4 order a 6. They ordered a 4 and then charged me $60 more dollars to alter it because it was too small. But that is still not the worst of it. On the day before her wedding my friend and I went to pick up her dress. It was black. It looked like they had no only let people try it on after she had paid for it, but it was almost like someone had laid it in the street and ridden a car over it. It was not wearable. The clerk told us he would have it cleaned and bring it to her the next morning (the day of her wedding). Thank goodness she had an evening wedding. As I sat with my friend who was sobbing, we waited. 8a.m. no dress, 10, 12, no dress. At 3 p.m. the dress finally arrived. They could not get all the marks out, but it was at least wearable. The clerk did apologize, but I later wrote a letter. I asked that my friend receive a discount or refund, she never did. I NEVER even got an acknowlegement of my complaint even though I know they received the letter. This was the worst wedding experience I had ever seen, and I have been a bridesmaid in 10 weddings, and a bride myself. I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. I will add the caveat that this was a 1998 wedding. We did not have internet reviews back then. But since I was retelling the story last night, I thought, well I do have internet now, and I can let people know. I hope the customer service has improved since then. If they had acknowledged the complaint and refunded my friend her money I would not be writing this right now. Beware of Hannelores.

I had a good experience while there - the staff was polite - there's a lot of selection - its a great place for the cocktail dress or the wedding gown to make you feel like a queen!
