Island Creek Elementary School teaches more than 750 students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school offers a variety of subjects, such as English, history, math, science, reading, history and physical education. In addition, it offers various special programs, including positive behavior support, character education, literacy volunteers and science quest. The school s amenities include academic enrichment rooms, computer labs, multipurpose pod areas, band and orchestra instruction rooms, softball and soccer fields, over 35 classrooms, and a stage and theater arts room. Established in 2003, Island Creek Elementary School is governed by Fairfax County Public Schools, one of the largest school systems in the United States.
