We took a tour of the Old Town Sport and Health and weren't positive about the club but decided to give it a shot after the staff explained they had a 30 day money back guarantee. After 5 or 6 visits, it was evident, due to the overcrowding, poor locker room maintenance, and our inability to find parking around the club, we wanted out. When requesting our money back we were told that we did not qualify because in the fine print it states you have to visit the club 12 times in 30 days to get a refund. During our 30 days, my wife and I had both traveled for work and took a short vacation therefore we were not even in town 12 out of our 30 days.
We received no satisfaction when we addressed this issue with management at Sport and Health. (BTW: you can only correspond with them over e-mail, there is no way to actually talk to a live person.) We are completely displeased and have argued, to no avail, that not once during our tour did anyone mention the 12 visit stipulation.
It's a poor club with even worse customer service.
