Mental Health America, established in 1990 and located in Alexandria, Va., is a nonprofit organization that offers treatment for mental health and related illnesses. It provides treatment and counseling for substance abuse, developmental disabilities and depression. The organization offers treatment for prenatal disorders, birth-related injuries, brain malformation, traumatic brain injuries and severe mental infections. It additionally organizes camps and school programs, such as group discussions, and drug and alcohol prevention seminars. The center offers 24-hour health care services.
