Provided by YP.comHorrible! I purchased a Groupon for Murphy Family Electric. They came out to install a light fixture which they did. I asked them to install a plug for a new electric oven. They charged me $225 to install a circuit that they claimed was powerful enough to handle any range. I went to purchase a range and discovered that instead of installing a 50 amp circuit which modern ovens require they installed a 30 amp circuit. When I confronted them about this they tried to get me to pay them $1200 to fix it. When I then confronted them on the fact that this was their mistake they said they would only charge me $770. After I informed them that the quotes from other electrical company were only $300 to install a 50 amp circuit they offered to send someone out to change the 30 amp. When the subcontractor got here he had been given instructions to only replace the outlet for free if the wire in the wall that they installed was 8 gauge wire required for a 50 amp circuit. Otherwise he was supposed to call Sean Murphy. When of course it was 10 gauge wire required for a 30 amp circuit Sean ignored multiple calls from his contractor and sent a message saying to charge me $770 to install a 50 amp and did not offer a refund of the $225. Now after several days of ignoring my calls and those of his electrician Sean has sent me an email saying only that I signed off on the incorrect service and he will not issue a refund.
