#DontRideVRE Their policies punish good paying customers. I've been purchasing monthly as well as daily tickets since I moved into the area. Was running late one morning, and saw the conductor as instructed to let him know that I did not have time to get a ticket and asked if i could get one at the next stop, as he knows me and sees me 2x/day every weekday. Nope, he issued me a SUMMONS of all things. The instructions given are "If you have trouble purchasing or validating tickets "you MUST SEE A CONDUCTOR" well I did and look what It got me, a day in court. This is egregious behavior for a private company. On then LIRR in NY they allow you to purchase tickets on the train if you don't have one. If they are going to be cheap and not want to staff up in order to do so then their policy needs to change.
